The SCOAN Sunday Service: The SCOAN Choir
The Bible reminds us in Lamentations 3:22-23, “It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”

Congregants assembled in the presence of the Lord, acknowledging their sinfulness and seeking forgiveness for all known and unknown sins, while inviting the Holy Spirit to take more of them.

And the Lord granted the desires of their hearts according to His will, in Jesus’ name! In total surrender, the people proclaimed, “The Lord, our strength; the Lord, our all in all! Jesus, Lamb Of God/Worthy Is Your Name!”

The choristers led the worship session with powerful declarations: “Who Is Like Unto Thee, O Lord?” and “I Speak Your Name, Jesus!” As a result, the Arena of Liberty was soon filled with heavenly forces.
Indeed, the Spirit of the Lord moved mightily; consequently, the atmosphere was saturated with incredible power for transformation. Moreover, hearts were stirred, and therefore, many experienced a deep sense of renewal and reverence.

“Yeshua! As long as the Lord walks beside me, that is all that matters! Yahweh – our covenant-keeping God! O Holy Ghost, Open My Eyes Today/Open My Eyes Tomorrow! Never Have We Seen A God Like You!” sang the congregation, their voices rising in unison, inviting the presence of God to dwell richly among them. “Thank You for accepting our worship today, O Lord!” the people declared.

The SCOAN Sunday Service: The Motive for Obedience
LISTEN TO THE SERMON TITLED: THE MOTIVE FOR OBEDIENCE
Evangelist Chisom ascended the altar, encouraging, “I will testify because I have a testimony,” inviting the congregation to proclaim their faith. He highlighted that many obey, but few obey from a heart of love.

“What is the motive for your obedience?” he asked. “Many obey when the goings are good. When the goings become tough, they struggle to obey. In our walk with the Lord, we have both good and hard times.”

Referencing 1 Samuel 15:22 and Proverbs 16:2, he noted, “Indeed, everyone obeys; however, obedience is not just action – rather, it is the heart behind the action.
Thus, in other words, true obedience goes beyond outward performance. Moreover, when obedience doesn’t bring immediate reward, many falter; however, this reveals the depth of their commitment. Nevertheless, obedience must not be circumstantial; instead, it must be consistent and unwavering.”
Furthermore, he used the example of Israel: “For instance, when their goings were good, they were happy they obeyed; likewise, they rejoiced in favorable seasons. However, when circumstances changed, their attitude toward obedience often shifted; as a result, their devotion weakened.
Consequently, their commitment was tested; therefore, obedience should remain steady regardless of outcomes. Ultimately, consistency, rather than convenience, proves genuine obedience.”
True Obedience
When faced with challenges, they regretted that they obeyed. Many are smart but not obedient; they are good but not obedient. God Almighty does not necessarily reward good, smart people; He rewards the obedient.”

Reading Matthew 19:16-22, Evangelist Chisom explained, “God tests us with what He has blessed us with to confirm the motive for our obedience.
Your obedience is truly proven not only when you are in need but also when you have gotten what you need. Many become loyal to get what they want, but when their needs are met, their real self surfaces.”
Therefore, true obedience must persist in both seasons of lack and seasons of abundance.re in need but also when you have gotten what you need. Many become loyal to get what they want, but when their needs are met, their real self surfaces.”

He concluded with John 14:15 and 1 Corinthians 13:4–7, thereby stressing, “Love should be the motive for obedience – first and foremost to God, and then to our fellow man.”
Indeed, in this way, he emphasized that obedience must flow from love; moreover, it should reflect both devotion to God as well as compassion toward others.
Obedience is not merely to receive blessings but rather to cultivate a love relationship with God. In other words, it is not driven by rewards; instead, it is rooted in devotion.
Therefore, if love is your reason for obedience, then, whether the going favors you or not, you will persevere. Indeed, when love is the foundation, obedience remains steadfast regardless of circumstances.
Examine your heart: do you obey grudgingly, with murmuring, just to be seen, or for selfish reasons? Let love guide your obedience, and your reward will be secure.”
The SCOAN Sunday Service: Prayerline Session (March 1, 2026)
Pastor Evelyn Joshua led the Prayer Line, asking, “Shall we give a praise offering to Jesus Christ?” She prayed, “Almighty God, we have come again to seek Your comfort.
We know that no part of our being is beyond Your reach. O Lord, take away our pain, in the name of Jesus Christ! Fill us with Your strength and power, in the name of Jesus Christ!”

Pastor Evelyn Joshua & The SCOAN Evangelists
She reminded the congregation, “Freely we receive, freely we give. It costs nothing to come to The SCOAN Prayer Line.” Expectant mothers, the sick, and those under spiritual oppression approached the altar.

Evangelists and the woman of God, moving with the authority of Heaven, ministered prayers of deliverance, healing and transformation to the people as yokes and age-long afflictions bowed to the power of the Holy Spirit.

To the glory of God, knees bowed and tongues confessed as demons were expelled. Confirming the triumph of God’s power over the snares of satan in the lives of those healed and delivered, Pastor Evelyn Joshua declared, “Rise up! You are free! Enjoy your new-found freedom, in the name of Jesus Christ!”

The powerful presence of God manifested mightily through instant healing and the breaking of yokes in the Arena of Liberty as the woman of God and the evangelists intensified the ministration of prayer, commanding stubborn cases to be nullified, in the name of Jesus! In the end, many destinies and lives were restored to the glory of God.
