Hearkening to the charge in Psalm 98:4-6, the people shouted for joy to the Lord and made music with different instruments. It was not just any other Sunday; it was the very day the leader of The SCOAN turned 55 years on the face of the earth. Esther of The SCOAN Sunday School performed a special number in celebration of the day. And \u201cYes, Lord, My Soul Says Yes!\u201d The SCOAN Choristers also led the people to sing, among numerous other songs exalting Yahweh for His unending compassion and forgiveness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When Evangelist Ope began his sermon, entitled \u201cVision-Minded,\u201d he began by paying tribute to Pastor Evelyn Joshua. He extolled her industriousness, discipline and character. In his words: \u201cShe is a disciplined mother and leader who does not pamper mediocrity, foolishness. She is a woman of excellence who pampers excellence. And as a disciplined woman, she is a woman of character.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Evangelist Ope then read from Habakkuk 2:2. He described vision as \u201ca photographic picture of the future you desire and see in your heart that produces or propels you to action.\u201d He spoke about how to fulfil one\u2019s vision under God\u2019s guidance. A person of vision is always focused and keeps the right company to help them grow and fulfil that vision, he explained. \u201cYour focus is your personal responsibility, your personal decision,\u201d he added. The evangelist further noted that people of vision are people of character who have traits such as patience, temperance, forbearance, humility, endurance, perseverance, and modesty, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

People of character, the evangelist went on, are people who work with only God\u2019s timing and always seek to evolve by learning from the challenges around them. According to him, vision brings the boldness and confidence for enduring times of difficulty. Vision equally helps one to make the best of challenging times. In the evangelist\u2019s concluding words, he noted the need not to be discouraged by failed plans. In his words: \u201cThe fact that your plans failed does not mean your vision has failed. A failed plan is not a failed vision. Do it again! Plan again! Pay any price to protect your vision!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Happy 55th<\/sup> Birthday, Pastor Evelyn Joshua!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

December 17, 2023 being her 55th<\/sup> birthday, Pastor Evelyn Joshua broke into song as she joined the people: \u201cWhat Shall We Say Unto The Lord\/All We Have To Say Is\/Thank You, Lord!\u201d She thanked the Lord for giving her the grace to do His work, and then prayed for the people: \u201cMay the grace of God in your life never suffer corruption, in the name of Jesus Christ.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pastor Evelyn Joshua further prayed: \u201cFather Lord, we thank You for this wonderful day. We have come to You with a heart full of grace, a heart full of joy. Almighty God, we ask You for the grace to continue to obey Your commandments and to stay in fellowship with You. Father Lord God Almighty, let Your Word abide in us and we abide in it, in the name of Jesus Christ. Father, guide us to Your way of truth and give us the power to continue to follow that way. In Jesus Christ\u2019s name we pray!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The woman of God gave a few remarks as she moved towards her birthday cake. \u201cWhat is good needs prayer,\u201d she said. \u201cI need prayer,\u201d she added. She also encouraged the people to mark her birthday by reaching out to others in love. \u201cWhen you receive something you can never earn, it is ground for gratitude not arrogance,\u201d she reminded the people. Finally, she said to the people: \u201cThe work of grace must continue.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flanked by her children and The SCOAN Evangelists, Pastor Evelyn Joshua cut her 55th<\/sup> birthday cake in an attitude of gratitude to God Almighty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Divine Wonders At The Prayer Line<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When the woman of God rejoined those at The Prayer Line, she said: \u201cThe reason for our celebration here today is what God can do in the lives of people; in a hopeless situation, He gives them hope.\u201d She prayed: \u201cWe are here again, O Lord! See to the needs of Your children; they have come to seek Your face. Father, reveal yourselves in their lives, in the name of Jesus Christ. Let them speak a new language\u2014the language of healing, blessing, prosperity\u2014in the name of Jesus Christ! We thank You, Lord, because we know You can do it again and again!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pastor Evelyn Joshua then moved into the midst of the people and began to lay anointed hands on them in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. As the aura of the Holy Spirit overshadowed the people, their numerous cases received attention at The Throne Of Grace. Among their petitions were lumbar spondylosis, poor vision, migraine, ankle injury, sickle-cell anaemia, seizures, severe back pain, kidney tumour, spinal tumour, skin disease, piles, breast cancer, foot ulcers, chin tumour, swollen belly\/legs, bed-wetting, lung problems, high blood pressure, prostate enlargement, kidney stones, frequent urination, and palm ulcers, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On December 10, 2023, when she sat for prayer before Pastor Evelyn Joshua, Emma from Sierra Leone was suffering from rheumatoid arthritis. \u201cOne morning my wrists, ankles and fingers started to hurt and swell,\u201d she told the church a week later. For months, she bore the pain even as she visited different doctors for treatment. \u201cThe doctors found nothing,\u201d said Emma. \u201cMy feet also started to swell and I could no longer walk,\u201d she continued. For the demon in Eze, the grouse with Eze and his family was their refusal to carry on worshipping it, as their father had used to do. Irene testified about receiving a new life from God through the medium of the New Anointing Water. She had been returning from an interstate trip on August 21, 2023 when a trailer ran over her at a transition stop. \u201cI woke up to find myself on the hospital bed,\u201d she told the church on December 17, 2023. Doctors told her that she had leg fractures and that she would not be able to walk for the next six months. Irene asked for her bag and fished out her New Morning Water. After a while, she insisted on being taken home. The doctors reluctantly agreed, as they had wanted her to undergo surgery. At home, however, it seemed that Irene\u2019s wounds were refusing to heal, prompting a return to the hospital. \u201cThe doctors mentioned surgery again, but Irene stood her ground and continued ministering the New Anointing Water. \u201cAll of the dead tissue fell off and my feet healed without any surgery,\u201d she testified, displaying the feet. \u201cOnly God heals,\u201d she advised others. \u201cOnce you believe, everything is settled,\u201d she added.
