IN GOD’S TIME: REOPENING OF THE SCOAN AKURE BRANCH

On Friday, March 3, 2023, under the leading of the Holy Spirit, the leader of The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations, Pastor Evelyn Joshua, led church members from Lagos as well as lovers of The TB Joshua Ministries from other parts of the country to Akure, the Ondo State capital, for a special event: the reopening and rededication of The SCOAN Branch in the city. Months before, extensive renovation work had been undertaken at the church as part of efforts to prepare it for welcoming the Holy Spirit.

After the opening prayer, The SCOAN Choir went into an extended worship session that suffused the atmosphere with the presence of the Holy Ghost. Among the numerous song ministrations were compositions by God’s servant Prophet TB Joshua. The music ministration also included renditions by De Emerald Choir, Tiuke Olubodun and other groups, as well as performances by children of The SCOAN Sunday School.

In a brief address backed up with prayer, Evangelist Ope acknowledged the presence of God’s Spirit with The TB Joshua Ministries all through the years. “Indeed, God Almighty is here with us.” He added: “We may not see Him physically but we can feel His presence. We may not see Him physically but we can see what He is doing.” Citing Haggai 2:9 he said: “The glory of this house, that is, the glory of the latter house, shall be greater than that of the former. And in this place will I give you peace.” The evangelist further asserted, “Not only will this place be reopened but the power of God will be revealed in Jesus’ name.”

During her opening appearance, Pastor Evelyn Joshua prayed “Father Lord, we bless your name. Holy Spirit, we honour You. Jesus Christ, we praise You. With gratitude we come to you today. It could only be You, O Lord! Father Jesus, we give You our spirit that You may pray in us. We give You our bodies that You may dwell in us. Father we give You ourselves that You may grow in us. We need to expand Your mission of soul-winning. O Lord God Almighty, it could only be You and so we are praising You this very moment. Father, we thank You for the lives of those You have brought here today to know You the more, to accept you as their Lord and Saviour. Fill Your children with the spirit of love, mercy, compassion among themselves. Father, fill them with the fruit of righteousness that only comes from Your Son Jesus Christ. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray!”

The woman of God then invited some of the guests to join her for the reopening and rededication proper, i.e. the ribbon cutting. There she prayed: “Father Lord, we bless Your name. We thank You for this beautiful day. The Creator of Heaven and Earth, the God of Prophet TB Joshua, Almighty God, we rededicate this mission, house, church – The SCOAN Akure to You. Father, we rededicate it in the name of the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit.

Father God, we cover this church with the Blood of Jesus Christ. We cover this mission with the Blood of Jesus Christ. We cover this environment with the Blood of Jesus Christ. We cover all who will be worshipping here with the Blood of Jesus Christ. Father, let Your healing, deliverance, blessing power flow to meet the needs of Your children in the name of Jesus Christ. With thanksgiving and praise they will continue to worship you in here for the salvation of their souls. In Jesus’ Christ’s name we pray. Thank You, Lord. Thank You, Jesus!”

When she got back inside the church, Pastor Evelyn Joshua again thanked the people for supporting the ministry of Prophet TB Joshua, even as she expressed her commitment to carrying on with the legacy of God’s servant. Among other things she said: “When we came on board as a new leadership of The SCOAN, this Akure branch was thought of as a very significant project to be renewed and restructured to meet our everlasting expanding dream as a ministry. But it has been completed for you today with regular services taking place as from now on. Let us acknowledge in praise the hand of God Almighty in our lives.”

In his own remarks, Deputy Governor Lucky Ayedatiwa congratulated Pastor Evelyn Joshua and the entire SCOAN leadership on the reopening, promising his government’s continued support and prayer for the ministry. In his words: “We can only be supporting you in place of prayer that God will continue to strengthen you and enlarge your coast the more so you can continue in this work without growing weary or tired…. The church preaches love, peace, unity. These are ingredients that are needed for nation building….”

In her sermon for the occasion, Pastor Evelyn Joshua read from John 3:1-4 and anchored her teaching on the story of Nicodemus. Other references for the message included John 7:28 and Luke 10:19. Overall, the sermon focused on cultivating a personal relationship with God so that one can lead the life of a conqueror as a full-time follower of Jesus Christ.

The woman of God therefore urged the people to be like Nicodemus, who recognised the need to emulate the lifestyle of Jesus Christ – as manifested in universal acts of love, compassion and hope. She observed: “When your faith is risen, you will fear no more, doubt no more, believe the more, have faith the more and you will conquer.”

Among those who attended the event were His Excellency, the Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa, who represented the State Governor; Senior High Chief Anthony Falowo, who represented His Imperial Majesty Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade, the Deji of Akure; His Royal Highness Oba Isa Olanipekun, the Zaki of Arigidi, among others.

God’s Power At The Prayer Line/Laying Of Hand Session

Hundreds of people from across Ondo State and other parts of Nigeria were around to witness the raw power of God transform their lives and situations. Although many came in tears, they returned home with laughter from the Throne of Grace. May laughter never depart from our mouths and homes, in Jesus’ name!

Healed, Delivered Because God’s Word Says So!

At the start of the Mass Prayer session, Pastor Evelyn Joshua asked the people to assert thus: “Because Jesus Christ is here with me, whatever I ask here today shall be asked in Heaven. Whatever I bind here today shall be bound in Heaven. And whatever I loose here today shall be loosed in Heaven. In the name of Jesus Christ!” She then asked the people to declare themselves free from pain by saying: “I am free because God’s Word says I am free! I am healed because the Word of God says I am healed! I am delivered because God’s Word says I am delivered! I am blessed because the Word of God says I am blessed!”

Ernest’s Instantaneous Healing

For over a year, Ernest had been suffering from difficulty in breathing. Most times he felt tired and dizzy, and could not walk for more than a few minutes. For some reason, doctors could not identify his problem. To the glory of God, however, an anointed touch set Ernest free from the devil’s unseen hands after he had vomited the strange substances in his system
