On December 24, 2021, the children and youth sections of The SCOAN had a chance to display their understanding of the message of love and the true essence of Christmas when they participated in different activities during The SCOAN Christmas Carol Service 2021. Being the first since the calling of God’s servant to Heaven, the service was at times emotional as the tides of the loving memories of Prophet T.B. Joshua washed over the hearts and minds of the audience and viewers of Emmanuel TV all over the world.

They say, “As we celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus, never forget the purpose for which He came.”

Nevertheless, the focus remained on Jesus Christ, the reason for the season. And so, as one activity led to the next, it was clear that the seeds of tomorrow had indeed been well prepared on how to show love not only at Christmas but at all times. On offer was plenty of dancing and singing for Jesus Christ, as well as dramatic performances of messages on serving God and humanity in order to make Heaven on the Last Day.

With Pastor Evelyn Joshua seated among other church members in the auditorium, Evangelist James said the opening prayer thus: “Father, we thank You for Your goodness, kindness, love towards us, for sending Your son Jesus Christ into the world that we might live through Him. Father, accept our thanks, in Jesus’ name.”

Afterwards, the activities took off in earnest. First, there was a dance offering to Jesus Christ by The SCOAN Sunday School kids, followed by the presentation of a short sermon by Yohanna and Blessing—two kids from the Sunday School. “It is the doer of the Word that receives things from God,” they said in their message titled “Be A Doer Of The Word”.

Esther then gave her own message titled “God Will Fight For You Today”. She encouraged the audience thus: “God fought for David against Goliath. God for Daniel in the lions’ den. God fought for Paul and Silas in the prison. He fought for the Israelites against their adversaries. HE WILL FIGHT FOR YOU TODAY!”

The Emmanuel TV Sunday School Choir also performed a number of songs, including the Jewish song “Gando Adonai” and “Feliz Navidad”.

The Emmanuel TV Choir itself performed several times during the service, rendering songs such as “Because Of Love”, a song composed by Prophet T.B. Joshua, and “That’s Christmas To Me” as well as “Hark The Herald”.

As Prophet T.B. Joshua taught us, “The beauty of life does not depend on how happy you are but on how happy others can be because of you.” Therefore, beyond Christmas, let us continue to show love and compassion to fellow humans regardless of class, creed or colour. Emmanuel!
