“I want you to open your mouth, your lips; let us pray for the nation, Pakistan. I’m seeing one of their cabinet – prominent, prominent. He’s just at the mouth of death. He’s just at the mouth of lion. Very close to the grave. What is happening? This is an attack.”

On Sunday 15th March 2009 during a live Sunday service at The SCOAN, Prophet T.B. Joshua gave a prophetic message concerning an attack on one of the prominent members of the cabinet in Pakistan. This is what he said:
“I want you to open your mouth, your lips; let us pray for the nation, Pakistan. I’m seeing one of their cabinet – prominent, prominent. He’s just at the mouth of death. He’s just at the mouth of lion. Very close to the grave. What is happening? This is an attack. Some, some, some, some--- Open your lips; ask God for protection over this country. Protection. Protection. Cover the nation. Commit Yourself to their protection. In Jesus’ name. Let us pray for the person this message concerns in the nation. Open your lips; ask God to protect him. In Jesus’ name.”

On Wednesday, the 2nd of September, 2009, news broke that a prominent Pakistan cabinet minister, Hamid Saeed Kazmi escaped death in a gun attack.

CNN.com reported, “Pakistan minister escapes assassination attempt. Pakistan's religious affairs minister escaped with a minor injury in an attack that killed his driver Wednesday. The minister, Hamid Saeed Kazmi, was shot in the leg but his injury was not serious, hospital officials said”.

Pakistan cabinet minister Hamid Saeed Kazmi is the federal minister for religious affairs and a member of the ruling Pakistan people’s party. He is known as one of the key personalities condemning the Taliban and their terrorist acts. Just as Prophet T.B. Joshua had said, he was a prominent member of the Pakistan cabinet.

Minister for religious affairs, Hamid Saeed Kazmi was travelling in his official car when the assassination attempt took place in broad daylight near his office in the busy Melody market area in Islamabad.  Unknown gunmen sprayed bullets on the minister's car. There were blood stains on the car's seats and its windows were shattered.  Shazia Nazir, a doctor at the hospital treating Mr Kazmi, said that the minister's driver had been brought in dead, with a bullet wound to the head, and that a security guard had been seriously wounded. Senior medical official Shaukat Hameed Kiani said Mr Kazmi's leg had been fractured by a bullet. Truly, the Pakistan cabinet minister was at the mouth of death just as Prophet T.B. Joshua had said.

In a brutal attack that killed his driver and seriously wounded a security guard, Minister Hamid Saeed Kazmi miraculously escaped death with only a minor injury and his condition is reported as being stable. We thank God for saving the life of this Pakistan Cabinet Minister, Hamid Saeed Kazmi from the mouth of death, from the mouth of the lion. We thank God for the call to pray for protection for the person whom the message concerned and that God committed Himself to his protection, just as Prophet T.B. Joshua had prayed. 

“Open you lips; ask God for protection over this country. Protection. Protection. Cover the nation. Commit Yourself to their protection. In Jesus’ name. Let us pray for the person this message concerns in the nation. Open your lips; ask God to protect him. In Jesus’ name.”

Indeed, Minister Hamid Saeed Kazmi, the Pakistan Cabinet Minister was sheltered under the shadow of God’s protection. We pray for the nation of Pakistan, her leaders, her cabinet and her citizens that God would continue to cover them with His protection and that the peace of God would rein amongst them, in Jesus’ name.
