  STAY IN FAITH

“In Christ, we have a perfect
evidence for faith. Any man or
woman can get rid of their
doubts by looking steadfastly
and only at the evidence which
God has for our faith. Seeing only
what God says will produce and
increase our faith."

Faith does not ask for the possible; it demands for the impossible. This was proved during the month of April at The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations as Prophet T.B. Joshua illuminated more on the meaning of faith in the life of a Christian. He said, “In Christ, we have a perfect evidence for faith. Any man or woman can get rid of their doubts by looking steadfastly and only at the evidence which God has for our faith. Seeing only what God says will produce and increase our faith”.

Speaking about the situation in Christendom today, T.B. Joshua said, “Too many people try to figure out (or get acquainted with) God through their feelings. When they feel good, they think God has heard their prayers. When they don’t feel particularly good, they begin to murmur and rebel against God.”

The man of God said that we should get familiar with God through His Word. He explained, “Real faith is based upon the Word of God. Real faith says, ‘If God’s Word says it is true, it is...’ Believing God is to believe His Word. Remember, if you believe in Him, you can say what He has said and do what He has done.” Jesus said to His disciples, “As the Father has sent me, so send I you” (John 17:18).

This was demonstrated early one Sunday morning at the beginning of April, prior to the live service, when a woman with the problem of an overdue pregnancy came to The SCOAN looking for solution. Mrs. Gloria Adenuga, who was suffering from a shortage of blood had been told by the doctors that there was no way she could deliver without an operation. Having previously had two children by operation, there seemed no hope that she would deliver naturally.

On learning about the case, T.B. Joshua instructed one of the junior pastors to pray for the woman. The man of God said that with God, everything is possible and emphasized that she should not undergo an operation. Following the instruction in righteousness, the junior pastor entered the room where the woman was lying on the floor. Stretching forth his hand, he prayed for her in the name of Jesus Christ. At the name of Jesus, the woman began to experience labour contractions and within a few moments, gave birth to a healthy baby boy!

This amazing miracle was played live during the service that day where joined by her husband, Mrs. Adenuga held her new baby in her arms and testified to the wonderful miracle of God. During her testimony, she mentioned that she had previously been disturbed by contrary spirits and had often heard a voice in her mind telling her that when she gave birth to this baby, she would die. However, when the junior pastor prayed for her, she said, “I could see that spirit moving around -  but immediately he stretched his hand on me, the spirit disappeared. Immediately I heard, ‘You are free in Jesus’ name’, I delivered safely without an operation”.

As members and visitors congratulated the parents, the cathedral was filled with an atmosphere of faith. At T.B. Joshua’s words, “Seeing what God says will produce and increase your faith; if your faith is increasing, let me see your excitement”, the crowd erupted with cheers of affirmation whilst the choristers broke into singing, “Blessed be the name of the Lord!”  Seeing what God said about the situation of Mrs. Adenuga had surely produced and increased the faith of the congregation and viewers worldwide.
